DBKL provides assistance in flood-devastated Baling.
The Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) is sending many resources and volunteers to help clean up the flood-damaged areas in this Kedah district on behalf of the Ministry of Federal Territories.
The volunteers and many lorries have departed Kuala Lumpur, according to Minister Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim, and are scheduled to reach here later tonight.
According to Shahidan, the assistance is being given in response to the prime minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, who requested that relief be sent as soon as possible to the impacted people. To aid the flood victims, many non-governmental organisation officials had travelled here.
