The Malaysian Meteorological Department announced at 1:00 p.m. on December 17, 2022 that many states in the country will experience continuous rainfall from now until December 20, 2022. The general public is urged to be cautious.
The Meteorological Department has issued an orange rain warning for parts of Kelantan and Terengganu. The Meteorological Department will issue an orange warning for continuous rainfall in an area if the rainfall exceeds 60mm in 6 hours.
In addition, Perlis, Kedah, Penang, Perak, Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang, and Johor have received a yellow rain warning from the Meteorological Department. When the amount of rain in an area exceeds 6 hours, the Meteorological Department will issue a yellow warning for continuous rain.
The Meteorological Department will issue a red warning for continuous rainfall in an area if the rainfall exceeds 150mm in 24 hours.
Recently, there has been continuous rain in various parts of the country. If you live in a low-lying area, you must be especially cautious. If you receive an evacuation notice from the appropriate authorities, you must immediately evacuate the area.
