The Meteorological Department has issued another rainstorm warning for the North Malaysia region and the East Coast, people are urged to be alert!
According to the weather forecast issued by the Meteorological Department of Malaysia at 11:30am on 19 December, several areas in Perak will be under a red level of persistent and very heavy rainfall. Some areas in Kedah, Penang, Perak and Pahang are expected to experience yellow level persistent heavy rainfall.
Some areas in Perlis, Kedah, Perak, Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang and Selangor are expected to experience yellow level persistent rainfall. Rainfall in these areas is expected to continue until December 19 (tonight).
People are urged to be more sensitive to changes in the weather and to be prepared to evacuate if they notice the water level rising too quickly. Car owners are also urged to park their vehicles on high ground to avoid flooding that could lead to the destruction of their vehicles.
Red rainstorm: Perak (Manjung, Kinta, Perak Tengah, Kampar, Bagan Datuk, Hilir Perak, Batang Padang and Muallim)
Orange rainstorm: Kedah (Kuala Muda, Kulim and Bandar Baharu) – Penang – Perak (Kerian, Larut, Matang and Selama and Kuala Kangsar) – Pahang (Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Raub, Jerantut and Kuantan)
Yellow level rainstorm: Perlis – Kedah (Langkawi, Kubang Pasu, Kota Setar, Pokok Sena, Padang Terap, Yan, Pendang, Sik and Baling) – Perak ( Hulu Perak) – Kelantan – Terengganu – Pahang (Bentong, Temerloh, Maran, Bera, Pekan and Rompin) – Selangor (Sabak) Selangor (Sabak Bernam and Hulu Selangor)
