The Meteorological Bureau issued heat wave warnings for 20 regions.
According to the news issued by the Malaysian Meteorological Department at 4:30 pm on May 3, 2024, a total of 5 areas in the country are under the second level heat wave warning, and 15 areas are under the first level heat wave warning.
When the highest temperature in an area is between 35 and 37 degrees Celsius for three consecutive days, the Meteorological Bureau will issue a level one heat wave warning for the local area. When the highest temperature in an area is between 37 and 40 degrees Celsius for three consecutive days, the Meteorological Bureau will issue a Level 2 Heat Wave Warning for the local area.
