25/03/2022

From 1 April 2022, Malaysians and Singaporeans who have been vaccinated can travel freely between the two places by land without the need for quarantine or testing, including pre-departure and post-arrival testing!

According to data, at least 400,000 people used the causeway and the second channel to travel between Malaysia and Singapore every day before the outbreak. However, after the outbreak of the epidemic, the two countries have blocked their borders one after another, making it impossible for people to travel freely.

From April 1, 2022, the Malaysia-Singapore border will return to the pre-epidemic situation, the people of Malaysia and Singapore can travel freely without isolation and testing, and the Malaysia-Singapore checkpoint will resume 24-hour operations.

In this regard, the government expects a large flow of people to enter Malaysia from Singapore on April 1, and therefore urges the public to plan their own itineraries.

In addition, the public should note that this measure is limited to people traveling between Malaysia and Singapore by land, but if you travel between the two countries by air, you still need to take a new crown test two days before departure.
