The investigation into the shocking Hong Kong socialite mutilation case has taken a new turn. At the scene of the dismemberment in Lung Mei Village, Tai Po, on Sunday, the head of the murdered Abby Choi was found in a large soup pot.
Four family members of the ex-husband have reportedly been arrested by law enforcement, and three of them have been charged. For several days, the police have been looking for Abby Choi’s body parts, including the head, hands, and body. The forensic physician found a head on Friday (the 24th), which was believed to have been smashed in a sizable soup pot. There was some meat in the pot, but the head had been left to just the skull and hair.
The forensic physician discovered a hole behind the right ear of the skull that was approximately 6.5 cm by 5.5 cm and was believed that it was created by the impact of a hard object. The forensic physician estimates that there is a possibility that the cause of death might match the hole.
After collecting evidence over several days, the 65-year-old former father-in-law and 31-year-old former uncle of the murdered were each charged with one count of murder, while the 63-year-old former mother-in-law was charged with obstructing justice. On Monday, all of them showed up at court.
