Malaysian car plates are arranged in letters and numbers, and everyone can know where the vehicle is registered from the car plate letters. The first letter of the Malaysian car plate represents the state. For example, Selangor is B, Johor is J, Penang is P, Kedah is K, Negeri Sembilan is N, Pahang is C, Perak is A, Sabah is S, Sarawak is Q and many more.
Then the second and third letters are used for car plate order. For example, the car plate of Johor starts from JTA to JTY, and then from JUA to JUY, and so on. However, the English letters I, O, and Z will not be used on the car plate, this is to not be confused with the numbers 1, 0, and 2.
