Check your i-Saraan account to find out if you received the KWSP i-Saraan subsidy.
Those who are taking part in i-Saraan can check the amount of government funding they have received online.
The government introduced the self-employed provident fund subsidy programme known as i-Saraan. Participants in this programme who are self-employed will get 15% of the government subsidy, up to RM250.
Do you want to know how much government aid you receive from I-Saraan? You can click View Transaction History in the EPF i-Akaun APP after it is open. You can then view Sumbangan i-SARAAN, which represents the amount of government support you receive.
Here is i-Saraan for those who are new to it. Those of you who are interested in joining i-Saraan must first be self-employed Malaysian citizens. You must be younger than 55. The government would provide a 15% subsidy, up to a maximum of RM250, to those who take part in i-Saraan.
The government would give you RM 150 if you deposit RM 1000 into your EPF account for the entire year (RM 1000 X 15% = RM 150). The government will contribute an additional RM 250 if you pay RM 2000 for the entire year (RM 2000 X 15% = RM 300; the government only contributes RM250 at maximum). To participate in i-Saraan, you must submit an application to the nearest Employees Provident Fund (KWSP).
The i-Saraan plan will be put into action between 2018 and 2022. Self-employed self-contributors won’t be eligible for the additional 15% subsidy starting in 2023 if the government does not announce an extension of the i-Saraan scheme this year.
