KWSP announces SDR application website
There’s good news! The monies from the EPF Special Withdrawal Scheme will be paid out in one lump amount to the member who applies. Members who have at least RM150 in their EPF account are eligible to apply.
Members can request for withdrawals online starting April 1st, according to a letter from the Employees Provident Fund (KWSP). For more information, see to https://pengeluarankhas.kwsp.gov.my/ (temporarily offline).
From April 9th, members can enquire about their application outcomes, and remittance will be issued to those who applied on April 20th.
KWSP encourages members to double-check that their phone numbers are in the system. This is because when members request a withdrawal, the system will send them an SMS carrying a one-time verification code (OTP), which they must enter to complete the withdrawal. Application for a withdrawal.
Members are also encouraged to first learn about their provident fund deposit status so that they may determine how much money they can take and avoid the issue of insufficient funds when applying. To keep their EPF account active, members must keep at least RM100 in it.
In addition, the member’s bank account must still be active in order for the remittance procedure to run smoothly. The member’s bank account must be in his name, and it must be a personal savings or current account, not a joint or commercial account.
Members who do not have a bank account can choose to receive money through Arahan Bayaran, which requires them to go to a designated KWSP to collect the Arahan Bayaran and then to a designated bank to cash it in.
