The jobless man hit his father’s head with a dumbbell to death and his mother panicked to find someone to “collect the body” first.

A man with the last name Chung in New Taipei City, Taiwan, is thought to have psychosis. After a fight with his father, who was in his seventies. The previous night, he went to the gym, picked up 10 pounds of iron dumbbells, locked his head, and viciously smashed his father to death. His mother got a phone call from her son saying, “Dad died at home.”  She was scared and panicked, and she called the funeral home first, saying, ”

United News says that Chung’s mother called the police to say that “someone had fallen to his death” because she was worried about her son. However, the police found bloodstains at the scene, which made it clear that he had killed him.

Xindian District police were notified at 8:30 p.m. on January 18 that a person had died in a building on the second block of Ankang Road. Police arrived to find a 78-year-old man with the last name Chung lying on the floor, seemingly dead. After receiving a call from the deceased’s wife, a woman surnamed Lian.

However, the police found bloodstains in the living room. The deceased had multiple head injuries and a significant dent in the back of the head, which contradicted the family’s report of “fallen to death.” Hence, they decided to intervene in the investigation.

The police found Chung Nang, the 41-year-old son of the dead person, in the room. He had many blood stains on his body.
The police took Chung into custody right away. They took the murder weapon, a dumbbell, to the Taipei District Attorney’s Office to investigate the murder charge.

The suspect, Mr. Chung, is thought to have a book of physical and mental disorders, may have psychosis, and has been unemployed at home for years. Last night, Chung’s son called his mother and told her, “Dad is dead at home.” When Chung’s mother ran home to check, it was clear that her husband was dead. When the funeral home arrived, it was clear that someone had been killed, but there were no police officers there. They said, “We’ll have to call the police to handle this,” Chung’s mother, who was thought to be trying to protect her son, told the police that “someone fell and died.”
