Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar told a press conference that the government will announce the latest price of eggs on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, and that Agriculture and Food Security Minister Mohamed Shahb will be in charge of the announcement.
The post-epidemic era has caused a number of problems, with the high cost of living and egg shortages being the biggest problems facing the population. Many people are complaining that they cannot buy eggs, so the new government’s first goal is to address the high prices and shortage of eggs.
Eggs are a unified product and the current top retail price for Grade A eggs is 45 sen each, Grade B eggs 43 sen and Grade C eggs 41 sen. Eggs weighing 65 to 69 grams will be classified as Grade A eggs, 60 to 64 grams as Grade B eggs and 55 to 59 as Grade C eggs. The above prices are for the West Malaysia.
