The government subsidizes RM200 plan to purchase energy-saving appliances, and the application is open until December 31st.
SAVE 2.0 is a plan launched by the government to encourage people to buy energy-saving appliances. People will get RM200 discount when they buy 4-star or 5-star air conditioners or refrigerators. This program was launched in January this year and will continue to open applications until December 31, 2021.
People can get RM200 discount allowance for buying electrical appliances in two ways. The first method is to go directly to a specific electrical appliance store with the electricity bill, and the second method is to purchase electrical appliances through the Shopee e-commerce platform.
The first method: go to the electrical shop.
You need to bring your electricity bill and IC to a specific electrical appliance store, and then the store will apply for RM200 discount for you online. You can click here https://save.seda.gov.my/publics/retailer to view the list of cooperative electrical stores.
The second method: apply online.
You can apply through Shopee, and after successful application, you will get RM200 discount coupon. You can buy specific air conditioners and refrigerators at Shopee.
The application method is very simple, that is, browse Shopee to see the electrical appliance merchants with SAVE 2.0 label, and then contact the merchant through Chat, asking the merchant to help you apply for RM200 discount allowance. Once the application is approved, the merchant will give you a set of vouchers, which you can use when Shopee purchases electrical appliances.
