The government is aiming for more than 60% of adults or 40% of the population to complete two doses of the vaccine by August 31, National Day. This objective has been successfully achieved.
Former Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin had set a target of reaching 60% of the adult population or 40% of the population with two doses of the vaccine by National Day. That goal has been reached, and the next goal is to complete vaccination for all adults by October.
As of 11:59 PM on Aug 30, The country had completed 34.49,572 doses of vaccines. 83.8% of adults had received at least one dose of vaccine, while 63.6% had completed two doses.
In terms of the total population, 60.1% of the population received at least one dose of vaccine and 45.6% received two doses of vaccine.
