The government may follow Singapore’s Token measures, and people without MSJ need to use Token.

The government is considering distributing Token to people who do not have smartphones to scan MySejahtera! Maybe you don’t have to write the registration information in any place in the future.

According to the information sent by the Minister of Health KJ, the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation is studying and launching the Token tracker. Token tracker will contact nearby Bluetooth devices to track whether Token holders have contact with confirmed patients.

At present, the government requires all people who want to enter stores to use MySejahtera registration information, while those who do not have smartphones need to write registration information by hand. If the Malaysian government imitates Singapore’s Token measures, it will save more time and effort in tracking confirmed cases.

Since last year, Singapore has launched Token Tracker and distributed it to people who do not have mobile phones or whose mobile phones are not functional enough. Token tracker will record the information of when different users are in contact with each other. These data will be stored in the user’s mobile phone or Token, and the records will be automatically erased after 25 days.

Singapore Token Tracker will exchange Bluetooth data with nearby mobile phones and trackers. The data are anonymous and encrypted, so the identity of users will not be revealed.
