The government has launched the SolarRIS scheme, which allows household users who install solar photovoltaic systems to enjoy rebates of up to RM4,000.
In order to encourage people to install solar photovoltaic systems (PV) in their homes, the government has launched the Solar People’s Incentive Scheme (SolaRIS). Participating household users will be able to enjoy a rebate of RM1,000 per kWac, with each household user receiving a maximum rebate of RM4,000. .
Notice! This program is only open to Malaysian citizens, and they must be TNB users who participate in this program for the first time. Interested parties can apply to the Sustainable Energy Development Agency of Malaysia (SEDA) from April 1 to December 31, 2024.
The scheme is operated on a first-come, first-served basis, and successful applicants must complete the installation of the solar photovoltaic system before March 31, 2025, or until the relevant rebate quota is allocated, whichever comes first.
