The government has asked TNG to review the selling price of RFID stickers!

 

In response to a question in Parliament, the Senior Minister of Works pointed out that the selling price of RFID stickers is based on the cost of the stickers, installation, system and operation, etc. The government has asked Touch ‘n Go to reduce the price of RFID stickers.

 

RFID Tag currently sells for RM35, and many users are complaining about the poor quality of RFID Tag, which can be easily damaged. Former Prime Minister Najib pointed out that the cost of an ordinary RFID Tag can be less than RM1.00, but RFID Tag is sold as high as RM35, which is not reasonable.

 

Former Prime Minister Najib said, a touch of the company’s profits should come from the avenue toll, rather than from the sale of RFID tags, so a touch of the company should be to reduce the price of RFID tags to less than RM5.

North and South Avenue toll booths from January 15 to support the RFID Tag way to pay the toll, but the system is unstable, some of the toll booths are long lines, public discontent. Many car owners blamed the North and South Avenue RFID instead of causing traffic congestion, which simply can not achieve the purpose of fast clearance.

 

According to the senior minister of engineering issued by the news, there are already 28 avenues to implement the RFID system, of which only 18% of road users to RFID stickers to pay the way to cross the toll. The government’s goal is to fully implement the multi-lane flow system (MLFF) by 2025.
