The government announced a moratorium on the export of fish and the import of frozen chicken from abroad!

According to a message from Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri, the government has decided to temporarily suspend the export of fish due to the increase in prices of essential goods in the country. The government will also import frozen chicken from abroad in order to control the price increase.

Ishmael pointed out that the government will import 200 containers of frozen chicken from next week to allow cheaper chicken meat to flood the market, which will give people an additional choice instead of buying expensive local chicken meat.

Esmai said that the RM9.80 per kilogram for chicken is unusual, although it has reached RM10 per kilogram before, but this rarely happens, as the price of chicken is usually RM7 to RM8 per kilogram.

Now not only the price of seafood and chicken is high, even the price of vegetables has been soaring. Many people are complaining that the price of vegetables is more expensive than meat, and the price of cauliflower per kilogram has exceeded RM20.

In order to ease the burden of the people, the Ministry of Trade and Consumer Affairs will also launch the Jualan Keluarga Malaysia promotion from December 4 in each parliamentary constituency. The promotion will sell essential goods that are 15 to 20% cheaper than the market price.
