The government is abolishing the import permit for imported food!
According to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ishmael Sabil, the importation of food from abroad will no longer require an import permit (AP). The purpose of this measure is to ensure that our food supply is adequate.
The Prime Minister noted that the measure has been approved in the Cabinet meeting and all parties can import any food from abroad into the country. The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry will announce more details in the near future.
The Prime Minister said that previously, businesses need to apply for a meat import permit when importing meat from abroad, but this measure will be abolished immediately.
