The Malaysian National Security Council has updated its standard operating procedures for the fourth phase of recovery, withdrawing measures that mandated temperature checks in public.
According to the latest standard operating procedure (SOP) released by the National Security Council, people need to scan and register with MySejahtera when entering public places. Visitors can still use the handwritten sign-in book when there is no network or other reasons.
Anyone with symptoms is not allowed to enter public places, and operators need to ensure that the visitor’s MySejahtera is in a low-risk status. Visitors who do not have the MySejahtera APP can present a vaccine card to prove that they have received two doses of the vaccine.
Operators need to limit the flow of people to ensure that visitors maintain a physical distance of at least 1 meter, and operators are encouraged to use queuing numbers to control the number of people entering public places.
The public is also urged to wear masks in public, except during meals, in cars, or open and unoccupied places, and when playing outdoor and indoor sports, masks are exempted.
Children under the age of 12 are not encouraged to enter public places.
This standard operating procedure is effective from February 10.
