According to the information on the official website of a Malaysian Aid (BKM), the first phase of the BKM aid will be disbursed in March. Eligible individuals will be able to receive the aid directly through their bank account, while those without a bank account can go to BSN Bank to receive the aid.
The BKM aid will be disbursed in 4 phases, namely March, June, September and December. Assistance recipients in the family group will receive assistance in March, June, September and December. Aid recipients in the single category will receive aid in March and September.
Although the government has not announced when the first phase of BKM aid will be released, it is generally expected to be released by the end of March. The beginning of next month will be Ramadan for fellow Malays, so it is believed that the government will not release the aid until a week before Ramadan.
Applications for BKM aid are open from January 1 to January 31. Those who have received aid or have applied for aid in the past year will automatically be included in the review list of BKM aid, and those who are eligible will automatically receive aid.
Under the BKM assistance system, the government divides beneficiaries into families, singles and seniors over 60. The family group is also divided into those with monthly income not exceeding RM2,500 and those with monthly income between RM2,501 and RM5,000. The single category is for individuals aged 21 and above with a monthly income of not more than RM2,500. The seniors group aged 60 and above is single or widowed seniors with a monthly income of not more than RM5,000.
