25/09/2022

In the job search website, we often see CV and Resume, so what is the difference between CV and Resume?

The CV is a Curriculum Vitae, which is a resume, while the Resume is a resume form. the content of the CV is more detailed than the Resume. the CV can be up to 10 pages, while the Resume is only 1 to 2 pages.

Resume should contain name, address, email address, phone number, job title, education, experience, interests, etc. Generally, it should only be 1 to 2 pages.

The length of a CV is determined by its content and can sometimes be as long as 10 pages. Young professionals’ CVs are usually 2 – 4 pages long, while older ones are usually 6 – 8 pages long.

A CV should present the situation in a clear, concise and organized style. Name, title, and dates should be in the same place for each item. Start the description with an action verb. Emphasize the positive aspects and demonstrate personal strengths.

The format is determined by the amount of information and the choice of items to emphasize, but there is no standard format. A first-time job seeker will usually start with an educational background to draw the employer’s attention to the degree. A veteran job seeker, on the other hand, will start with experience and place the educational background elsewhere.
