Being a food delivery driver is a tough job; sometimes, others will slap or even beat you. However, there was an incident in which a food delivery man attacked a restaurant clerk recently! A restaurant operator in Malaysia released a video of his clerk being treated rudely by the food delivery staff on social platforms, which aroused widespread discussion among netizens.

The industry revealed that the incident occurred on March 29. After the clerk prepared the delivery meal, he waited 30 minutes but did not see the delivery person, so the store notified the food delivery platform system. The late delivery boy arrived at the restaurant, only to realize he had been replaced. Dissatisfied, he immediately approached his accomplice and the clerk to argue, and his accomplice even threw a delivery drink at one of the clerks.

Mr. Huang, the owner of the store, said in an interview with China News that at the time of the incident, the food delivery staff not only threw drinks at the clerk but, after some theory, picked up the menu and threw it at the clerk again, and challenged the merchant to call the police, claiming that They live in the rear, and the police can’t help them. After the incident, the store also went to the police station to report the incident. After the police’s intervention, the two delivery staff involved in the case were investigated and promised to apologize to the two female shop assistants at 11:30 am on Wednesday (5th).

In addition, he also pointed out that the food delivery staff will generally arrive at the store to pick up the food after 5 to 10 minutes, and he emphasized that the merchant can only change the food delivery staff with authorization. Generally, if the food delivery staff arrives after less than 10 minutes, he will notify the system. Customer service intervenes. “After all, customers can’t see the preparation and delivery progress of the order on the system. If the other party waits too long or the food is delivered late, leaving a negative review, it is unfair to us.”

Mr. Huang hoped that the food delivery person who caused the accident would be punished as he should, apologized to his store staff, and promised that no matter who he was, he would not repeat the crime. I hope that there will be no more similar incidents. This will scare the shop assistants, and the innocent delivery platform will also be scolded for black sheep!
