The common use of TNG eWallet for credit card points may result in account restrictions!

18/02/2022

The act of using Touch ‘n Go eWallet to swipe credit card cashback and points may result in your Touch ‘n Go eWallet reload function being blocked.

Many savvy credit card users look for ways to earn cashback and points for their credit cards, so Touch ‘n Go eWallet’s launch of GO+ has become one of those conduits. To combat this opportunistic behavior, Touch ‘n Go eWallet will restrict these users.

According to the Touch ‘n Go eWallet FAQ, when users frequently use credit cards to top up their Touch ‘n Go eWallet and then withdraw money directly through GO+, this may result in restrictions on your Touch ‘n Go eWallet top-up feature.

These users will be restricted from topping up their Touch ‘n Go eWallet from their credit card and will only be able to top up their Touch ‘n Go eWallet through Debit Card and Online Banking.

In the unfortunate event of a restriction, users will still have the opportunity to appeal to have the restriction lifted. However, too frequent mistakes may result in the top-up function being permanently blocked.
