The classic American horror movie “The Orphanage” was aired in 2009 to great acclaim. Now the prequel to “The Orphanage”, “The Orphanage: First Kill”, will be officially released in U.S. theaters on August 19.
The horror movie “Orphan’s Grudge” tells the story of a couple who decide to adopt a 9-year-old girl named Esther due to the shadow of a miscarriage, but what appears to be an innocent little girl is actually a rare hormonal disorder that causes her to be short in stature.
The prequel to “Orphan’s Revenge”, “Orphan’s Revenge: First Kill”, is about Esther’s past before she was adopted. She carefully planned her escape from a mental institution and posed as someone’s missing daughter. As her mother believes her daughter has been missing for years, some of her strange behavior is likely a legacy of her previous experiences. This prequel will also present Esther when she first kills someone.
It is worth mentioning that Isabelle Fuhrman, who plays the female lead, is already 25 years old in reality. But the director and the production team not only wanted her to return to the film, but also made her look like a 9-year-old girl through filming techniques, makeup, special effects, etc.
