The cheapest Macbook in history is about to debut at the conference? Apple surprise official announced the November 10 “One More Thing” conference.

03/11/2020

After Apple introduced the iPhone 12 at the press conference last month, it has now announced that it will hold another press conference on November 10 (10am US time). The theme of this conference is “One More Thing”, which makes people wonder whether Apple will launch new products. Since the iPad, Apple Watch and iPhone have launched new models, it is speculated that Apple will launch their own brand new Mac computers with Arm architecture chips in this conference!

The term “One More Thing” is actually a term commonly used by Apple in the past, especially the former Apple CEO Steve Jobs, who often put it on the lips when launching new products. But Apple has rarely used this term in recent years, the last time it was used at the 2017 iPhone X conference. Three years later, Apple once again developed the conference with the theme of “One More Thing”, which attracted a lot of attention.

Apple used Augmented Reality to preview the invitation letter. You can see a picture of the Apple logo standing upright and then lying down. This picture resembles people’s actions when opening the MacBook, which seems to imply that the MacBook will appear at the press conference next week.

At the WWDC in June this year, Apple has announced plans to switch from Intel processors to its own Apple Silicon CPU. At that time, Apple also promised that the first computers using their Arm architecture chips would be launched in 2020. Apple said that switching to a chip developed in-house can improve performance and reduce energy consumption. There are rumors that Apple will use the MacBook as the first computer with its own chips, and slowly switch all Mac products to Apple Silicon.

Earlier, it was reported that the Apple Silicon-powered Macbook starts at US$799 (about RM3319), while the 13-inch Macbook Pro is priced at US$1,099 (about RM4,566). Among them, the starting price of ARM’s Mac is lower than the newly launched iPhone 12 Pro, which sells for $999. If the news is true, this will be the cheapest Macbook in history.

In addition, It is also predicted that Apple is also likely to launch macOS 11 Big Sur. Apple has launched iOS 14, iPadOS 14, watchOS 7, and macOS should be released next. Since the macOS Big Sur is directly related to Apple’s own chip development, both will be unveiled at the same time at the launch.

Although the launch of the Mac computer will be ushered in at the press conference on November 10, this is only an outside speculation and has not been confirmed, but if it is a real Apple fan, you can look forward to it!
