The cha chaan teng’s food and beverages price will increases starting from January!
It is understood that most cha chaan teng’s food and beverages have increased their prices since January, with an average increase of less than 20 to 60 cents. The increase in cha chaan teng beverages depends on the region. The increase in beverage prices in cha chaan teng in rural areas ranges from 20 to 30 sen, while the increase in beverage prices in urban areas ranges from 40 to 60 sen.

The price of 25 kilograms of flour has also been increased from January, which will also put pressure on the prices of noodles, rice noodles, and kway teows. Previously, the price of flour for a 25kg package was RM47 to RM51 and will increase by RM5 from 2022. The latest price will be RM52 to RM56.
Regarding the price increase of cha chaan teng beverages and noodles, some customers said they would still go to cha chaan teng as long as the prices were within a reasonable range, but some customers said they would reduce their visits to cha chaan teng.
