How many gigabytes of internet data do you use on average per month?
According to U Mobile, the average Malaysian uses 25GB of internet data per month, an increase of 47% in internet data usage and an increase of 1.3 hours per day spent on mobile devices.
Not only that, Malaysians are also seeking more data on the Internet, but the age of Internet users is getting younger and younger. The percentage of 12-year-olds who own a cell phone is known to increase from 41% in 2015 to 71% in 2021. Simply put, 71% of 12 year olds own a cell phone.
Previously, Celcom also published data showing that the average Malaysian uses 25.4GB of internet data per month.
As people seek for higher quality video, it is believed that the amount of internet data consumed by cell phone users per month will also increase. In the 5G era, it is not uncommon to consume 100GB in a month.
