Because the concerned airline lacked an internal alternative, yellow tape was used in its place. This was necessary since changing to a different aircraft would impact the time and tickets of travelers who were already in line at the airport. Since the damage is not to the engine components or field systems, it is better to move on with the schedule than to delay it because doing so will only anger many customers.
Besides, he also mentioned that it’s simply a small problem that doesn’t include damage to the aircraft, so there shouldn’t be any issues. If it involved significant damage, we wouldn’t be able to continue flying. At least the travelers arrived without incident and on schedule without any aircraft delays.
