The amount of cooking oil that customers can buy will be limited by Lotus’s!

According to a statement made by the Lotus’s hypermarket chain, Lotus’s would cap the amount of edible oil that each customer can buy in order to ensure that everyone has access to it.

Each consumer may purchase a maximum of 3 packs of 1KG packaged edible oil and a maximum of 2 bottles of 5KG packaged edible oil.

Customers are asked not to panic and buy edible oil after Lotus’s stated that it will do everything in its power to work with suppliers to guarantee that there is no shortage of edible oil.

As a result of the government’s announcement that it will stop offering subsidies for bottled cooking oil as of July 1, the cost of bottled cooking oil will rise as of that day. The cost of pure palm cooking oil in a 5KG container is anticipated to rise to RM37.80.

But thankfully, the government will continue to offer subsidies for edible oil packaged in 1KG plastic packages, which sell for RM2.50 each.
