The 3-day long weekend holiday is over!
This year, Deepavali falls on October 24 (Monday) and Deepavali is a national public holiday (except Sarawak). Since this year’s Deepavali holiday falls on a Monday, together with the weekend and Sunday, this will also form a 3-day long weekend holiday.
This also means that October 22 to 24 will form a 3-day long weekend holiday. Of course, this only applies to those who originally do not have to work on Saturday working people.
Schools in Group A states (Kedah, Johor, Kelantan and Terengganu) will be closed from October 21 to October 25, 2022. 23 and 25 October will be special holidays provided by the Ministry of Education.
Schools in Group B states (other states) will enjoy a five-day holiday from October 22 to October 26, 2022, with October 25 and 26 being special holidays provided by the Ministry of Education.
It should be noted that primary and secondary schools in Sarawak can only enjoy the holiday on October 24 (Monday) because Deepavali is not a public holiday in Sarawak.
