The GE15 will be held soon and here’s how to obtain voter information.
The 15th National Election will soon be held! Malaysian residents who are 18 years old or older are asked to look over their voter information.
You do not need to physically register to vote in general elections if you are at least 18 years old because the government has put in place mechanisms to make Malaysian citizens who are 18 years old or older automatically become voters.
The Malaysian Election Commission’s website allows you to check your voter details. The website for the Election Commission is pengundi.spr.gov.my. The system will display your voter information after you enter your ID number and verification code. Voters can examine their state and congressional electoral districts, polling places, and other details on the Election Commission website.
Since the process for automatic registration as voters was put into place, there are a lot more voters now. The overall voter increased by 5.8 million from 15.2 million in 2018 to 21 million in 2019. 1.2 million new voters between the ages of 18 and 21 and 4.6 million new voters above the age of 21 are included.
