Tablet under the PerantiSiswa program will be distributed from September 3, and the quality of the government’s free tablet computers is better than expected!

According to a message from Minister of Communications and Multimedia Tan Sri Anuar Mussa, the government will distribute tablets to tertiary students from low-income families from September 2. Eligible college students will receive Samsung Galaxy A8 tablet.

The college students will not only receive the Samsung Galaxy A8 tablet, but also a stylus, Bluetooth keyboard and a tablet case. It seems to be quite good quality and perfect for college students to study and use.

PerantiSiswa is a government assistance program that aims to ease the burden of post-secondary students from low-income families. Through this scheme, tertiary students from low-income families will be provided with a tablet computer. All students are eligible to apply, whether they are attending a national or private college.

Applications for this program were opened in May and were originally scheduled to be distributed to college students in July, but were repeatedly delayed. Students who have already applied can check the results of their applications at https://perantisiswa.kkmm.gov.my/. For those who have not yet applied, they can also visit the same website and apply by September 30, 2022.
