According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Education Malaysia (KMP) on February 24, students are allowed to wear casual clothes to school if they could not purchase a new school uniforms on time. This measure applies from March 1st until March 26th, 2021.
Primary schools will start reopening from March 1st. As they believed that many parents doesn’t have sufficient time to prepare their children with school uniforms, the Ministry of Education has decided to exempt these students and allow them to wear casual clothes to school. However, students must dress neatly with appropriate clothes to school.
After the school holidays which lays on March 27th to April 4th, all students must wear school uniforms back to school on April 4th or April 5th.
On February 19th, the Ministry of Education announced the date of returning to school for the first and second grades of primary school will start on March 1st, and the third to sixth grades of primary school will start on March 8th. As for secondary schools, classes will start on April 4th and 5th depending on the pandemic situation of every states.
