According to a message from Prime Minister, tertiary students who have received a tablet do not need to return it after graduation, as it will be given to them free of charge.
The tablets will be distributed to eligible students from September 3. Tertiary students will receive not only the Samsung Galaxy A8 tablet, but also a pen, Bluetooth keyboard and a tablet case.
PerantiSiswa programme is a government assistance programme that aims to ease the burden of post-secondary students from low-income families. Through this scheme, tertiary students from low-income families will be provided with a tablet computer.
