Students in 4 states need to attend classes on 1.1.2023
According to the Ministry of Education’s 2021/2022 school year class and holiday schedule, schools in Group A states will return to school on January 1, 2023, and schools in Group B states will return to school on January 3, 2023. Back to class.
Many people are unaware that January 1st is not a national public holiday. Perlis, Kedah, Kelantan, Terengganu, and Johor are the five states in our country that do not have a holiday on January 1. These states’ civil servants and schools must report to work on January 1.
Perlis does not have a holiday on January 1st, but this year’s January 1st falls on a Sunday, which is Perlis’ weekly holiday, so students in Perlis do not have to return on January 1st. Class at school.

Group A (Kedah, Kelantan, Terengganu and Johor): 1 January 2023 (Sunday)
Group B (Melaka, Negeri Sembilan, Pahang, Perak, Perlis, Penang, Sabah, Sarawak, Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Labuan and Putrajaya): 3 January 2023 (Tuesday).
