The government has announced that starting April 1, Malaysia will open its borders, and people would be free from quarantine if they meet certain criteria. Is your passport still valid if you want to travel overseas or visit relatives? If your passport has run out of validity, you can renew it online.
Renew your passport using the My Online Passport System
Step 1: Visit https://imigresen-online.imi.gov.my/eservices/myPasport.
Step 2: Read the terms and conditions for renewing your passport online.
Step 3: Click on Setuju at the bottom of the page.
Step 4: Select the applicant’s age category and enter the passport number, ID number and other details.
Step 5: Select the branch of the immigration office where the passport is to be collected.
Step 6: Follow the instructions, fill in the details, upload an eligible photo and complete the payment process.
Step 7: Print your passport renewal receipt.
Step 8: Bring your receipt, old passport and ID card to the designated Immigration branch to collect your renewed passport
Tips:
1. Passport renewal service only.
2. The photographs uploaded must be taken by a professional photographer.
3. The size of the photograph must be 50mm X 35mm. 4.
4. The background of the photo must be white.
5. The person in the photo must be wearing dark clothing.
6. Payment must be made by credit card or FPX.
Passport renewal fee:
1. 13-59 years old: RM200
2. Senior citizens (60+ years) :RM100
