SOPs for transition to endemic epidemics from April 1 .

18/03/2022

Our country will enter the transition period of endemic diseases from April 1, do you know the SOPs for this period?

According to the infographic released by the Ministry of Health of Malaysia, after entering the endemic epidemic on April 1, people are still required to wear masks in public places, and they still need to use MySejahtera to scan their registration data when entering stores.

The government repealed three measures, which means that religious places no longer need to implement the minimum one-meter height restriction. Stores are also allowed to operate 24 hours a day, although this is based on the business license applied for by the business owner. Foreigners no longer need to apply for a MyTravelPass when entering the country.

People will be able to cross state lines freely from April 1, and those who have not been vaccinated or have not completed their vaccinations will also be able to cross state lines. The government will also open the national border from April 1.

In addition, large and crowded events will still have to comply with the distance, while workplaces can now have all employees working at the same time. Those who have been vaccinated will be exempt from quarantine upon entry into Malaysia, but will need to be tested for coronary disease two days prior to entry and will need to undergo a rapid screening test within 24 hours of entry.
