The JPJ has announced that the office hours of some Urban Transformation Centers (UTCs) will be reduced from January 1 to June 30, 2023. 13 UTCs were affected.
The office hours of 13 UTCs will be reduced by four hours three days a week, from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This also means that the restaurant is only open until 9 p.m. two days a week, and only until 5 p.m. the rest of the time.
As an example, consider UTC Sentul. Originally, UTC’s office hours were 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. However, beginning in 2023, UTC’s office hours on Monday and Friday will remain the same. Office hours have been reduced from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
For Johor, Kedah, and Kelantan UTCs, only Sundays and Thursdays will be open until 9:00 p.m., with the rest of the weekdays closing at 5:00 p.m. East Malaysia has designated a UTC that is only open until 7:00 p.m. on Mondays and until 5:00 p.m. on other working days.
Notice! This change only affects designated UTC branches; branches not on the list will remain open until 9 p.m.
