Selangor’s water supply is contaminated again, forcing 472 areas to produce water!
According to Air Selangor, the contamination of the raw water pumping station at Jenderam Hilir has forced the suspension of the Shimauk River and Bukit Tamboo water filtration stations at 6.15am and 11.30am respectively.
As a result of the suspension, 472 areas in five districts of Selangor will face water production problems from 3pm on May 3. The affected districts include 172 districts in Petaling, 54 districts in Ulu Segar, 196 districts in Sepang, 23 districts in Putrajaya and 27 districts in Kuala Lumpur.
Air Selangor will arrange water tankers to distribute water to the affected areas. People are also urged to stock up on fresh water for their daily needs.
Air Selangor will also ensure that the water supply can be restored to normal in the shortest possible time.
