Selangorian with less than RM3,000 monthly income are eligible for RM200 festive shopping vouchers.
Families with a household income of less than RM3,000 will be eligible for RM200 in festive shopping vouchers.
On November 25, the Selangor State Minister presented the Selangor Budget 2023. Selangor State Minister Datuk Seri Amiruddin announced in this Budget that the number of festive shopping vouchers will be increased in 2023.
The Selangor Baucar Jom Shopping amount will be increased from RM100 to RM200, and the beneficiary group will be expanded from a family with a monthly income of less than RM2,000 to a family with a monthly income of less than RM3,000.
The project will benefit 82,400 people and will cost RM16.48 million. During Hari Raya, Chinese New Year, and Deepavali, benefiting families will receive shopping vouchers. Beneficiary families can use the vouchers to buy any holiday items they require.
Furthermore, Selangor State Minister Datuk Seri Amiruddin announced that members of the Selangor Endowment for the Elderly (SMUE) will be able to receive RM150 shopping vouchers per year, up from RM100 previously. The foundation has 432,051 members in total. Following the untimely death of a member, family members are entitled to an RM500 pension.
