(Kuala Lumpur, 16th November) As Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Malacca enter the fourth phase of the National Recovery Plan (NRP) on Monday, schools in the states will be operating in phases in the fourth phase mode on 1st of November, with primary school students take turns going back to school.
With the government’s announcement that Selangor, Putrajaya and Malacca are entering Phase four of the National Recovery Plan from October 18, it means that the school attendance guidelines for Phase four of the recovery will be implemented in these state territories from November 1.
Students in primary school in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Melaka from standard 1 to standard 3 will be divided into two groups and will return to school on a rotational basis. The first group will return to school for one week while the second group will study at home. The second group will return to school for the second week while the first group will study at home.
Students in standard four through six will return to school starting November 15. Students will also return to school in groups on a rotational basis.
Other states that have fallen under Phase four recovery, such as Pahang, Negeri Sembilan and Labuan, will also have Primary 1 to 3 students back in school first, while Primary 4 to 6 students will be back in school two weeks later.
