18 Nov is a special holiday for Selangor.
Selangor workers and employers, take note! Selangor has a special holiday on November 18.
Selangor State Minister Amirudin declared Friday, November 18, 2022, as a special holiday to encourage people to return to their hometowns to vote. The 15th general election will take place on November 18th.
Amirudin noted that many people living in Selangor are foreigners, and making November 18 a special holiday will allow people to return to their hometowns to vote. Amirudin has requested that caretaker Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri declare November 18 a national holiday throughout the country.
Earlier, caretaker Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri stated that he was considering declaring a special holiday when he dissolved Parliament, but that it would depend on the timing. Ismail asked the public to be patient while he made his announcement.
The 15th National General Election is scheduled for November 19 (Saturday), and many people are hoping that the government will declare November 18 (Friday) a special holiday, making it easier for wanderers to return to their hometowns to vote and fulfil their civic duties.
