Selangor government is giving away RM300 grant, apply now!

10/08/2022

Selangor government has launched BINGKAS grant scheme, under which low-income families can receive a monthly grant of RM300.

To ease the burden of low-income families, Selangor State Government has launched the Bantuan Kehidupan Sejahtera Selangor or BINGKAS for short, through which low-income Selangor families will receive a government grant of RM300 per month for one year, or a total of RM3,600.

The BINGKAS grant will benefit 30,000 families, which will alleviate the burden of the beneficiary families, as the grant can be used to cover daily living expenses or to pay for the education of their children.

BINGKAS grant will be disbursed to the beneficiary families through an e-wallet, which will then be used to make purchases at designated stores. The monthly amount of RM300 received by the beneficiary will not be accumulated for the next month and will automatically expire if the beneficiary does not use up the grant in the same month.

The RM300 grant can only be used to purchase rice, noodles and rice flour, cookies and bread, eggs, sugar and salt, seasoning, flour, cooking oil, vegetables and fruits, chicken, beef, mutton and fish, toiletries, diapers, milk, school supplies.

The BINGKAS program is used to replace the previous program for Smart Care Mothers (KISS) or Smart Care Single Mothers (KISS-IT). If you are a recipient of these two programs, you have until September to update your information to continue receiving BINGKAS grants.
