Attention all CIMB users! From now on, transfers exceeding RM100 will require SecureTAC to validate the transaction.
According to the news issued by CIMB, users who use CIMB Clicks to transfer funds over RM100 will need to use SecureTAC of CIMB Clicks APP to validate the transaction. This measure will be effective from December 5, 2022.
When a user makes a Non Favourite transfer, pays a bill or purchases a prepaid top-up card, he/she will need to use SecureTAC of CIMB Clicks APP to validate the transaction. This also means that users will no longer receive SMS TAC when transferring funds over RM100, but will only be able to validate the transaction via SecureTAC.
SecureTAC is a notification that will pop up on the CIMB Clicks APP when a user makes a transfer or transaction, and then the user needs to click on the notification to accept (Approve) or reject (Reject). The purpose of this measure is to strengthen the security of online banking to protect users’ deposits.
CIMB calls on users who have not yet installed CIMB Clicks APP to download and install CIMB Clicks APP through Apple App Store, Google Play Store or Huawei AppGallery. after completing the installation, you need to go to Settings to turn on SecureTAC notification.
