Samsung has received a lot of love after the Galaxy S22 series was released earlier, and to celebrate the launch of the Galaxy S22 series, Samsung Malaysia held the Born of the Galaxy Stars short film competition and gave away generous prizes. The short film competition will be held in conjunction with the Malaysian International Film Festival (MIFFest) and has enlisted 22 aspiring filmmakers with diverse backgrounds to make their films using the Galaxy S22 series.
With the camera capabilities available on the Galaxy S22 series, the Born of the Galaxy Stars short film competition enables aspiring new directors to break down the barriers of traditional filmmaking by redefining the filmmaking experience and bringing it all together into one ultimate smartphone collection.
And Nightography Film Teasers was the highlight of the event, showcasing the work of four homegrown directors who produced four short films shot entirely on the Galaxy S22 series. Themed on fashion, fitness, romance and music, these stunning short films celebrate the craft and inspire hopeful filmmakers with an extensive Q&A session that follows.
Users who like to make short films can submit short scripts in line with the theme “Borderless with Nightography” before April 17, 2022 to participate in the Born of Galaxy Stars film competition. And Samsung Malaysia and Malaysia International Film Festival will select 22 teams to shoot and produce their short films using Galaxy S22 series phones. The final production will be presented at the opening ceremony of the Malaysian International Film Festival in July 2022.
In addition, Samsung will also select a grand prize winner from the top 3 films, who will receive a recognition award, RM8000 in cash, a trophy and Samsung products. Winners will also have the opportunity to expand their network to industry leaders in Malaysia at the opening ceremony of the 5th Malaysia International Film Festival.
