Online rumors about a man and a purportedly underage girl being molested in a car in broad daylight yesterday were widespread.

The police reportedly arrested a 22 year old local male and a 17 year old local woman yesterday between 4:15 and 5:15 p.m. in Johor Jaya Garden and Pasir Gudang Masai City in Johor Bahru. The two have no criminal histories, according to early investigations. Police also confiscated an Axia vehicle and a red and white outfit.
As of the right moment, the authorities are conducting an investigation under Section 377D of the Criminal Law (any act of violence that harms another person’s physical system).
