RM5,900 for a photo shoot, but only RM99 in the end, no wonder he is not angry!

A Singaporean man who has a sideline as a photographer recently revealed through Facebook that his sideline is a photographer, and the company commissioned him to do photography work for the company’s website after learning about it, and it had to be completed within a limited time. Unexpectedly, after completing the photography work, the company did not take the initiative to talk about compensation, in the man’s pursuit, the company only paid $ 30 (about RM99) red packet to send him off!

It is reported that the man was talking to his supervisor about the work pay, the other party to the time constraints required him to complete the work first before talking about pay. Even so, he agreed to help complete the business entrusted to him. He completed more than 600 photos in 3 weeks using his professional photography equipment and his own creativity and skills.

A month after completing the work, the company had not yet negotiated with him for payment. So, the man decided to submit a bill to the company to recover his reward.

The man charged the company $100 (about RM328) for each photo session, so the total payment for the 18 shots was $1800 (about RM5907).

To his surprise, the company only agreed to pay him $30 (about RM99) to express his gratitude, making the man very angry. So, he immediately refused the company’s remuneration and handed in his resignation letter. Before leaving the company, he also deleted all his works from the company’s website.

Although after the man resigned, his boss had tried to retain him and also said that he was the best employee of the company. But the man felt he could not stay in the “toxic” company and said he had no regrets about what he had done.

Finally, he stressed that he had learned his lesson after the incident and would not believe in “do it first and pay later” anymore.
