Bad news! Another water supply problem caused by contaminated water sources!
According to Air Selangor, diesel pollution in the Semenyih River has forced the suspension of the LRA Sg. Semenyih water filtration station.
With the suspension of the LRA Sg. Semenyih, five districts in Selangor and Putrajaya will experience water supply disruptions. The affected areas include Petaling (172 districts), Ulu Lengkak (54 districts), Sepang (194 districts), Putrajaya (23 districts) and Kuala Lengkak (20 districts).
Air Selangor has initiated emergency measures (ERP) to provide emergency water to the affected people, and 81 water tankers have been deployed by the authorities to distribute water.
