RHB and PayNet have cooperated to launch the DuitNow QR Plug & Play Sound Box. When customers scan the QR code to pay to merchants, the Sound Box will directly broadcast the notification of payment receipt.
DuitNow QR Plug & Play Sound Box is mainly used by merchants. After the customer scans the QR code to pay, the payment information will be immediately broadcast through the Sound Box, so the merchant does not need to turn on the phone to check whether the customer’s payment has been received.
RHB has launched DuitNow QR Plug & Play Sound Box in small and medium-sized enterprises in suburban areas in December, and will officially promote it to merchants with large transaction volume in January 2024.
Touch ‘n Go eWallet has launched a similar Sound Box as early as the end of 2022, but it is not very popular yet.
