Quarantine measure for confirmed Covid patients and close contacts!

25/10/2021

Our country is moving into the post-epidemic phase. The government has relaxed quarantine measure to allow asymptomatic and mildly ill patients to be quarantined at home for 10 days and close contacts for only 7 to 10 days.

According to Ministry of Health, a person diagnosed with Covid can be quarantined at home for 10 days if circumstances permit. No further testing for Covid is required during the quarantine period. If the condition worsens, you will need to go to a nearby hospital for immediate treatment.

If you are in close contact with the diagnosed person, for example, if you live with the diagnosed person or are a colleague of the diagnosed person, then you will need to be quarantined at home for 7 days and tested for Covid on the 5th day of quarantine. This presupposes that you have completed your vaccination.

If you have not completed the vaccination and you are in close contact with the diagnosed person, you will need to quarantine yourself for 10 days and be tested for Covid on day 8.

1. Confirmed patients

Quarantine at home for 10 days, no repeat Covid test required. Go hospital immediately if worsen.

2. Close contacts who have completed vaccination

Quarantine at home for 7 days and test for Covid on day 5.

3. Close contacts who have not completed vaccination

Home quarantine for 10 days and go for Covid testing on day 8.
